Event Time: 12:00 PM - to 4:00 PM
Nestled among the northwestern woods of New Jersey is a 5,000-square foot castle of art surrounded by winding mosaic walls, bowling-ball gardens, and a pergola made of lapis-blue bottles. This remarkable art environment, known as Luna Parc, is the home of its creator Ricky Boscarino. Today, Boscarino joins us in person to teach us how to turn all of our plastic bottle lids into fanciful garden ornaments like those which hang outside his kitchen. While visiting PMG, look for stained glass windows that were grouted instead of soldered – this is a technique Boscarino taught to his longtime friend Isaiah Zagar, creator of PMG.
Ricky Boscarino offers a preview of today’s project in this short video. Also, you can get a bird’s eye view of Luna Parc during the winter of 2017 in this video by Yeti Nest Films.
PECO Family Jams are PMG’s one-of-a-kind, family-oriented programs, featured every second Sunday of the month between NOON and 4:00 PM. Tours of the fully mosaicked basement are part of this program. No reservations are required for PECO Family Jams, but admission tickets should be purchased in advance here.
