PECO Family Jams: Collage with Chloe

Event Description

This month we are joined by guest teaching artist Chloe Luisa Piñero. Drawing on collected images, like vintage advertisements and social media posts, Piñero explores themes of personal and collective identity in her current exhibition, In Between and All at Once: Works by Chloe Luisa Piñero, which is on view in our galleries until February 26. Today, Piñero invites us to explore the theme of place, using memory as a guide for our own collage. Bring images from your own life to include in your original artwork, or just draw from our materials.  Join us for free basement tours at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m. and learn how Isaiah Zagar, creator of Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, records and reflects on time and place in his own artwork.

PECO Family Jams are PMG’s one-of-a-kind, family-oriented programs, featured every second Sunday of the month between NOON and 4:00 PM. No reservations are required for PECO Family Jams, but admission tickets should be purchased in advance here.
