Isaiah Zagar is an international award-winning mosaic mural artist whose work documents his personal experiences and the history of his community. This winter, Visions of Philadelphia will feature a series of Zagar’s framed mosaics, highlighting his portraits and his signature hand-made tiles, as well as a film about the artist’s history on South Street. This exhibition explores Zagar’s playful and spontaneous method of mosaicking and the unique stories behind his depictions of his neighborhood.
