In this two week workshop PMG’s Preservation Team will lead you in creating your own 20” x 20” mosaic panel using the Zagar Method of mosaicking. Learn to break tile and cut mirror, plan your design, place tiles, and grout. Discover this freeing and versatile art form with staff that have trained with PMG creator Isaiah Zagar and are responsible for maintaining the mosaics at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens.
All supplies are included. Your finished, unframed mosaic will be available to pick up one week after the class ends. Framing is available for a discounted rate at New Image Art & Framing, 601 S. 9th Street. More information will be provided in class.
- Participants must be at least 18 years old to participate in this workshop.
