Join us for Slow Art Day 2024!
Slow Art Day is an internationally-observed day where folks are encouraged to slow down and spend more time observing art. At Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens (PMG) we invite you to take a moment and absorb in all the details of our space! Enter PMG between 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, and take 5-10 minutes to view a pre-selected section of the mosaics. At 2:30 p.m. join a museum educator for an in-depth discussion on that section. To celebrate the 20-year-anniversary of our nonprofit organization our talk will include how the text written on the tiles tells the story of how the Magic Gardens was created, as well as chronicles the lives of PMG-founder Isaiah Zagar and his wife, Julia.
