PECO Family Jams: Paper Arts

Event Description

Celebrations in Mexico often include flowers, music, and papel picado (cut paper). To celebrate the arrival of spring and Rosa Leff’s exhibition All The Right Places, we will be making traditional tissue flowers and papel picado with the help of teaching artist Ivonne Pinto-Garcia.

Leff studied papel picado in Puebla, Mexico. She uses papercutting techniques to create intricate cityscapes based on photos she’s taken at home and around the world. Join us for free tours of the fully mosaicked basement and learn how many Mexican art forms are an intrinsic part of PMG.

PECO Family Jams are PMG’s one-of-a-kind, family-oriented programs, featured every second Sunday of the month between noon and 4:00 PM. Reservations are not required for PECO Family Jams. Crafts and basement tours are included with regular admission. Purchase your tickets in advance.
