PECO Family Jams: Cardboard Portraits

Event Description

In our current exhibition, Wildest Dreams: Works by Zeinab Diomande, Diomande explores the many faces of Black womanhood through her own dynamic, multi-media self-portraits. Diomande joins us this month as a teaching artist. Come meet her and discover yourself in cardboard, paint, glitter, and glue. The memento you create, whether abstract, accurate, or utterly fantastic, will be entirely you.

Join us for free tours of our fully mosaicked basement at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 pm and discover a few of the hundreds of self-portraits made for this site by Isaiah Zagar, creator of Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens.

PECO Family Jams are PMG’s one-of-a-kind, family-oriented programs, featured every second Sunday of the month between noon and 4:00 pm. Crafts and basement tours are included with regular admission to PMG. Purchase your tickets in advance.
