Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens is wrapping up our 2018 season of Twilight in the Gardens!
Enjoy the enchanting music of Philly’s own Andrea Nardello, who has garnered favorable comparisons to Melissa Etheridge and Shawn Colvin. Nardello’s refined accessibility draws from folk, rock, soul, and even the swagger of hip-hop. She can tug at your heartstrings with her softer tunes and get you dancing on your feet with her upbeat songs and powerful voice.
Teaching Artist Miranda Blas is grateful to spend her life bringing her passion for art to others. She emphasizes the beauty and inherent worth of the art making process and loves to teach, learn and collaborate creatively with her students. As a painter and sculptor, Blas is committed to the flummoxing and pleasurable pursuit of rendering her unique experience of nature.
For our last Twilight event Blas will help us make found object wind chimes and hanging sculptures that are the perfect addition to a garden or home! Bring your own clinkety treasures or choose from the provided collection of interesting items. Experiment with visual and structural balance, and dynamic sculpture building using objects, beads, wire and more!
Visitors also have the chance to learn more about PMG through fun, casual mini-tours of the space and can check out Ebb Tide in our galleries.
Twilight in the Gardens is a BYOBBS event (Bring Your Own Booze, Blanket, and Snacks), and guests are encouraged to relax and picnic in the space.
