Amir Khadar is a multidisciplinary artist from Minneapolis, Minnesota who bridges the gap between fantasy and reality in otherworldly creations. In “After the Flowers Pass,” Khadar uses textiles and mixed-media to construct a post-apocalyptic world that reimages hierarchies in today’s society. Khadar liberates their figures and creates a visual language that centers on race, gender, and climate justice.
