Description for PECO Family Jams: Hardboard Painting
Isaiah Zagar, founding artist of the Magic Gardens, has worked with artists all over the world. Some of these relationships have lasted many years and spanned many generations. This Sunday’s program is inspired by the Lorenzo family. They are three generations of artists from Guerrero, Mexico, who paint on Masonite hardboard. They are known for their bold lines and colors showing everything from village landscapes to Mexican wrestlers and jaguar dancers. Visitors will receive hardboard, paint, and inspiration from many pieces of art created by the Lorenzo family.

PECO Family Jams are PMG’s family-oriented programs held on the second Sunday of every month between noon and 4:00 p.m. Crafts and basement tours are included with regular admission to PMG. Purchase your regular admission tickets in advance.
