Lucartha Kohler

Lucartha Kohler‘s (1938-2017) work has been shown for more than 30 years at a variety of venues across the country. She studied at Carnegie Mellon Institute, Moore College of Art, and Penland School of Crafts. Kohler spent time at the University of the Arts and The Studio teaching and lecturing. She is the author of two seminal works about glass art and was a founding member of the Glass Art Society. Kohler passed away in 2017.

Kohler created the small glass people that can be found embedded in the courtyard wall at PMG.
