Warren Muller: On and Off the Wall
February 28 – April 26, 2020
Opening Reception: Friday, February 28, 2020; 6:00 – 9:00 PM
Discover the colorful illuminated sculptures of Philadelphia artist, Warren Muller. His exhibition, On and Off the Wall, shines a new light on Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens’ galleries with a series of newly fabricated wall hangings, chandeliers, and floor pieces. Inspired by his city and the people that surround him, Muller makes the ordinary extraordinary by carefully selecting and assembling objects such as bicycle parts, candelabras, scrap metal, and street light fixtures. Muller is longtime friends with Isaiah Zagar and both have influenced each other’s use of found objects, tile, and folk art in their work.
Celebrated throughout Philadelphia by both public and private collectors alike, Warren Muller work transforms spaces and adds a sense of magic to the places where they are installed. Muller and his business partner, RJ Thornburg, cofounded Bahdeebahdu, a mix-use gallery, artist workshop, and interior design studio in the Northern Liberties neighborhood in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens and Warren Muller welcome you to experience On and Off the Wall during the pay-what-you-wish opening reception on Friday, February 28, 2020, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Refreshments and a complimentary glass of wine will be provided.
