Join Isaac Scott as he talks about the process and stories behind his photographs and sculptures featured in When the Cracks Deepen, an exhibition in the galleries at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens.

During this Tour & Talk Scott will discuss how his experiences as a participant in the 2020 Black Lives Matter protest and living among decaying infrastructure of dilapidated buildings have influenced his work. While leading the group through the gallery, Scott will dive into details about the materiality of his work and the connections between his ceramics, photography, and mural installation. Participants will have the opportunity to ask Scott questions during a Q&A at the end of the tour.

Isaac Scott is a Philadelphia based ceramic artist, curator, and photographer originally from Madison, WI. Scott’s work is rooted in the observation and reflection of his community. Isaac Scott’s clay works mimic the texture of broken sidewalks, worn down buildings, and found materials. His photographs focus on black and white intimate images of protesters during the Black Lives Matter protest in 2020.
