FREE with Admission
Talking about his use of salvaged materials in creating Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, artist Isaiah Zagar once said, “There’s just about everything here, even the kitchen sink.” Join us in creating tiny worlds inside tuna cans that you can take home. We’ll use bits of mirror, broken tile, scraps of fabric, tape, beads, and anything else we can find. Feel free to bring small items or pictures that you want to include in your personal artwork.
Explore Isaiah’s use of unusual found objects in our family-friendly tours at 1:00, 2:30 and 3:30 PM.
PECO Family Jams are PMG’s one-of-a-kind, family-oriented programs, featured every second Sunday of the month between NOON and 4:00 PM. All PECO Family Jams workshops and activities are FREE with admission and no reservations are required, but visitors must still purchase museum admission tickets. Tickets are timed and often sell out. Purchase your tickets online here.
