Bring a drink, a friend, and some curiosity and let PMG help you unwind after work with Twilight in the Gardens! On Friday, May 26 from 7:00 – 10:00 PM join us for an evening of international music and ethereal art.
Performer Interminable weaves together notes of traditional Mexican, jazz, electronic, and rock music, creating a wonderfully unique sound. They utilize a variety instruments including the electric bass, cello, and jarana, a native instrument of Mexico. Using lyrics in both Spanish and English, this self-described “diasporic space jazz” band strives to give voice to often ignored issues – displacement, migration and identity.
While listening to the tranquil vocals and spacey tunes of Interminable, make sure to stop by the activity table to say hello to local artist Crystal Stokowski. Stokowski will share her multimedia art skills with you and help you make your very own dream mobile! Don’t know what a dream mobile is? Come and find out!
Visitors also have the chance to learn more about PMG through fun, casual mini-tours of the space and can view the temporary exhibition hanging in our galleries. During May’s TIG the featured exhibition will be Interweave: Fabric Works by Folk Artists and Isaiah Zagar. All Twilight in the Gardens evenings are BYOBBS (Bring your own booze, blanket and snacks)!
Tickets are available May 12 via our website or by phone (215) 733-0390.
