Looking for a truly unique venue for your special event? Welcome to Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens!
PMG is a one-of-a-kind visionary art environment, gallery, and community art center created by Isaiah Zagar over a period of fourteen years. Zagar’s largest creation to date, this 3,000 square foot mosaic installation includes an indoor gallery and a massive outdoor labyrinthine mosaic sculpture. Built from found objects and contributions from the community, PMG covers half a city block with myriads of tile, texture, and color. A walk through the labyrinth will reveal folk art sculptures from Latin America and Asia, bicycle wheels from local South Street shop Via Bicycles, Zagar’s hand-made tiles, and mirrors of every shape and size. Nestled in the vibrant South Street neighborhood, Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens is an excellent choice for both personal and professional gatherings!
When hosting an event at PMG, renters are invited to utilize both the outdoor labyrinth and indoor gallery spaces. Rental prices are based on the weekday, season, and number of guests, and your payment will support our growing nonprofit arts center! Unlike many other venues, PMG has no in-house catering service requirements or minimum number of rental hours. Our history of spectacular private events enables us to refer you to our catalog of superb catering services, professional photographers, and other vendors.
