Summer Solstice Festival Delights the Eyes and Ears

Thank you to all the fantastic performers who made our 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Festival a colorful collage of dance, music, acrobatics, and art. Over a dozen eclectic artists came out to share their unique sounds and performances. The Galata Ensemble started off the show with Eastern European and Middle Eastern music, followed shortly by Indian-influenced Eric Carbonera and the French-medieval group, Oubliette Ensemble. Each musician drew on tunes from a different part of the world, bringing the sounds of Latin America, Africa, Europe, and South Asia into the Magic Gardens. It was truly a collaborative event celebrating the diversity and richness of the world as reflected in our own city of Philadelphia.

Visit our website for a complete listing of performers, and our Facebook page and Fire Museum Record's YouTube channel for more photos and video.
